Yukon Ali found her life’s passion through boyfriend and seasoned gold miner Allen.
Over the past 10 years she’s been learning how to pull gold out of the ground on some of the most demanding land in the Yukon.​ She continues her battle with a technical mining operation on the upper tributaries around the Indian River.
​
Ali runs a crew of determined, animated miners – who are enthused by Ali’s energy and charismatic approach to life on the mine site.​ The gold is sometimes elusive – but often chunky and regularly found in rich pockets, providing mega pay-days after feverish re-strategizing.
​
In Ali’s world – gold streaks wind down tight, serpentine valleys – littered with ghostly relics of the Old Timer’s past endeavours, meaning her use of heavy equipment is crucial.

Ali has built her fledgling operation from the ground up, where many fail and she has an ever-growing fleet of heavy equipment. However, Ali and her team are still very much paycheck-to-paycheck and the gold they earn pays down fuel and mining costs, keeping the lights on at camp – meaning a very real story of a battle against the odds.
​
At Yukon Ali’s mines – it really is ‘do or die’ and the urgency in finding the rich paystreaks that the Old Timers left behind is incredibly real.
WORKING FOR ALI
Ali receives an overwhelming number of requests from seasoned and talented operators, mechanics, welders and gold miners seeking employment. While she is flattered by the interest - please bear in mind the following:

The Yukon is in CANADA and as such, US Citizens and other foreign nationals will need a full work visa in order to gain employment in the country. This is dependent on an LMIA - proving that there isn't a qualified Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada capable of performing the same job.
​
Therefore, anyone seeking employment who doesn't already hold a valid Canadian work visa or permanent residency is guaranteed to be rejected for employment as applications are expensive and futile if the applicant does not meet the legal requirements.

Ali truly appreciates all the interest she receives - but is bound by the employment laws and regulations of Canada when hiring skilled workers.
